Whether you wish to teach students in elementary, secondary or special education, we offer full-time and part-time credentialing tracks. You may also further your education by pursuing a master's in education or an advanced credential. We can present our program options to you and assist you throughout the admissions process.

The College of Education has a variety of resources available to students to help them successfully earn their credentials and degrees.
Program Admission Advisors assist students with the program admission policies and procedures, questions regarding the program admissions file, and prospective student inquiries. If you have a question and you're unsure whom to contact, feel free to e-mail any of our staff advisors and he or she will assist you or get you in touch with the person who can. Once you are admitted to a program, Program Coordinators are responsible for a students' program of work. Contact your Program Coordinator with questions regarding transfer courses, course substitutions, program plans, practicum, etc.
Admission to the University
Prior to being admitted to any of the College of Education masters or credential programs, applicants must be admitted to the university using CSUMentor, as an unclassified graduate student. Please check with Graduate Studies for university application deadlines.
What is Cal State Apply?
Cal State Apply is a website designed to help students and their families learn about the California State University (CSU) system. The CSU is comprised of 23 excellent campuses. Cal State Apply assists students in planning for college, in selecting the appropriate CSU campus to attend, in planning how to finance their education, and in applying for admission.
Cal State Apply is free to use. The student will only pay the application fee charged by the CSU campus when an application for admission is submitted. All personal data entered by the user is not released without the user's express consent, and data entered in a planner can be transferred easily to an online application for admission.
Admission to Credential Programs
Only students admitted to the university are eligible for admission to the credential program. It is highly recommended that prospective students attend a group advising session or schedule an individual advising session with one of our admissions advisors. Program admissions requirements vary between programs. Please review the program website of your choice for specific requirements and the most current admissions deadlines.
