The CSU, San Bernardino Doctorate in Educational Leadership Program has launched a Community College/Higher Education specialization this past Fall 2015. We are accepting applications now for the Fall 2016 cohort.

The Ed.D. in Educational Leadership with a specialization in Community College/Higher Education prepares equity-driven higher education leaders committed to social justice within the Inland Empire. The program fosters leadership skills in areas such as: serving diverse student populations, strategic planning, and institutional effectiveness.

Specialization courses include: Higher Education Strategic Planning, Accountability and Change, Higher Education Governance and Policy, Foundations of Community Colleges and other Higher Education Systems, Assessment and Evaluation in Higher Education, and Fostering Student Learning and Success.

This cohort-based 3-year program is designed to serve the learning needs of full-time professionals in the field. Courses are conveniently offered twice per week (one week night via Distance Learning tools and on-site Saturday courses on the San Bernardino Campus). Students take two full years of coursework while simultaneously meeting the milestones toward the dissertation. Students are encouraged to identify a field-based problem of practice for their dissertation that is relevant to their institution, field, or community. Currently enrolled students are PK educators and leaders, K-12 educators, teachers, counselors, and school leaders, and community college/university faculty, student affairs professionals, and other campus leaders/administrators.
