LEAD navigates through nine thematic goals and attendant objectives that promote a broad-based awareness of the crisis in Latino Education and to enhance the intellectual, cultural and personal development of our community's educators, administrators, leaders and students.

GOALS

NETWORKING & TECHNOLOGIES: Web page, National Latino Education Network (NLEN) portal & electronic news, social networks (Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Zonein2, LinkedIn, etc.), JLE/HLE scholars list serves, LEAD events list serve (partners, sponsors, town hall viewers, exhibitors, board, managements & organizers), Constant Contact registrants, internet/web streaming (shows & commercials), etc.

HOST EVENTS: Theme-based summits/conferences, public forums, special presentations & capstone events, college & career expos, concerts, film presentations, etc.

PROMOTE LEAD EVENTS EVERYWHERE: ACR-137 in the Inland Empire California, other states/regions, LEAD summit "on tour", etc.

FUNDRAISING: Long-term budget and finance for projects, events, awards, publications, etc.

STRATEGIC PLANNING: Executive council, advisory board, organizing committees, management, etc.

AWARDS: Lifetime achievement or legacy, special recognition, scholarships, etc.

PUBLICATIONS: Journal of Latinos and Education (JLE), Handbook of Latinos and Education (HLE), policy/legislative briefs, lesson plans, and theme-based resource guides, etc.

“STATE” OF LATINOS & EDUCATION: "report card", "status check", grade, etc.

THEME-BASED ADVOCACY GROUPS: Working groups, grassroots organizing, legislative analysis and advocacy, participatory action research (PAR), curriculum development, resource development & guides, consulting, etc.

The Latino Education Projects also inevitably assists in the development of academic programs that advance the teaching and learning of Latinos, both regionally, national-scale and globally. It maximizes community outreach and relations with the Latino Educational community within particular areas of focus along the lines of educational programs, resource development, teacher education, and the provision of technical services
